Church Worldwide: Mission with Hungary
Over the past several years, Ladue Chapel has established a close and personal relationship with the Reformed Church in Hungary as it emerges from the oppression of over 50 years of communist rule. Our primary focus is the Reformed Seminary in Sarospatak. George and Ildiko Benke have been our guests in the past, and George preached to our congregation during their visit. Dr. Donald Howland preached at the “Wooden Church” in Miskolc in 1995 when George was the pastor there. George is now the dean of the seminary in Sarospatak.
Ladue Chapel & Eden Theological Seminary sponsor Reformed Seminary graduate students, who typically remain in St. Louis for two years of study at Eden Seminary.
Special Offerings
Special offerings are also a major element of Ladue Chapel’s mission activity. Each year, the One Great Hour of Sharing gift during Lent and the Christmas Joy Offering support special needs all over the world.
