Jesus said to his disciples, “Tend my sheep.” John 21:16c
The Lord gave us the responsibility to tend or care for the family of God. Ladue Chapel provides a comprehensive and coordinated ministry of caring to the members of the church. The Deacons and Stephen Ministers, along with the pastors, provide the ongoing care to the membership. We strive to provide member care to every person from birth to death. The extensive care we seek to provide allows us to enter people’s lives and to care for them through the many challenges and distresses of life.
We must be willing to minister to hurts, to encourage the disheartened, to pray for those who are sick, to help the needy, and to reach out to those who are drifting away. Let us never neglect the job that the Lord has given us to tend the sheep. We must not only care about them, but we must also take care of them.
For long-term counseling, our church partners with a regional pastoral care organization affiliated with Samaritan Counseling Centers.
